Fight For Air Climb Milwaukee
Lifetime Radon Solutions helps the American Lung Association Fight For Air
$624,638.05 Were Raised to Help Fight Lung Cancer
Lifetime Radon Solutions of Delafield, WI partnered up with the American Lung Association to help raise money for the Fight For Air Climb at the US Bank building in downtown Milwaukee on Saturday, March 18th.
Why was Lifetime Radon Solutions at the Fight For Air Climb in Milwaukee?
Because radon is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers, Lifetime Radon Solutions felt compelled to participate in this great event to help raise awareness about the effects of radon. According to National Cancer Institute, radon decays quickly, giving off tiny radioactive particles. When inhaled, these radioactive particles can damage the cells that line the lung. Long-term exposure to radon can lead to lung cancer, the only cancer proven to be associated with inhaling radon.
Not only did the Lifetime Radon Solutions team support the American Lung Association in their Fight For Air Climb, we also participated in the “Fight For Air!”
After all was said and done, about 3,000 people participated in the climb to the top of the US Bank building in downtown Milwaukee.
We started the climb with an ambitiously fast paced stride. It wasn’t until about a quarter of the way to the top of skyscraper that our legs felt like they turned into cement and our lungs started burning… now we know why it’s called the “Fight For Air Climb!”
Once atop the US Bank building, the views of Milwaukee were ‘breathe taking’ (pun intended). You could see our west towards our Waukesha County and on the other side the horizon line of Lake Michigan was beautiful!
